I call this jacket a Quilt-knit Jacket because the front is a free-form quilted patterned material front that I machine quilted and then I knitted the back, sleeves, collar and button band knitted of a black acrylic/nylon yarn called Cancun. The length is the very flattering fingertip length.
I make my jackets "one of a kind" by creating or buying only enough material for the quilt for one jacket. I also added specialty "brass look" buttons to add interest. There are "Hong Cong" finishing on the seams. This is Slo-fashion; made to last for years . I always create something special and unique. Made by a licensed Cherokee artist, in Oklahoma, USA
On sizing my jackets I use what I call "true sizing" which means I give you the actual inches in the chest measurement. This jacket is 50 inches around the chest which would be a large to ex-large depending on the amount of ease you like in your jackets. The best way to figure out if this is your size is to take a jacket you like the way it fits, button or zip shut, lay the jacket on the bed and measure across the chest at the armholes. Take this measurement times two and that is the amount of ease plus your body measurement you are wearing. This number often surprises people but it is the best way to get the size of garment you want to wear.
This jacket is machine wash and dry.
If this jacket is not exactly what you want but the idea of combining quilt material with knitting intrigues you, I do special orders where you may have your own quilt piece made up into a jacket or a vest. I have a gallery of ones I have made in the past at
www.cmodesignerknits.com under the tab for Quilt-Knit Jackets.
